This week was taxes week, so we met with the accountant and we told him the stuff we got for work (my laptop for etsy and the like) and he filled out the very complicated 1040. He asked about what etsy was and on the return he classified me as an artist. Ha! I felt special, the IRS thinks I’m an artist! (not that they care as long as they get my money). Anyway, I sort of let my shop go in preparation (read: saving) for taxes, but I still had a good bit of yarn left and felt like making something. I found a pattern for this hat and thought I’d try it. I got bored about half way through (or 4 inches in – you repeat steps 2-4 until it’s 8 inches…) and just sort of made it up as I went after that. Alex thinks it’s the best hat I’ve made so far. I like it too – I’m debating between putting a black flower, or beads on it as accents, but I’m not sure yet.
I’ll put up better pictures tomorrow, or when there’s sun, but ^that’s^ what it looks like now. (Also, DH is so cute).
