Playing with Cardboard Again

Today, I’m doing a little better. Still averse to coughing and sneezing all over my paints – not to mention making my neck-ache worse (hate colds or whatever this is). So I think, I’m going to build another fairy house with one of the tiny cardboard boxes we recently got instead. This may or may not become an obsession, but it’s really fun, and a good way to be creative without spewing all over my paintings. I’ll probably be planning out what to do with my next three canvases too, and deciding whether I should focus on larger or smaller paintings. I find that I enjoy small paintings more because it’s easier for me to focus on adding lots of little details without getting so bored from laying on the huge amount of background that I feel the need to hurry my way through so I can get to what I wanted to paint before I forget. I guess that’s what happens when I start painting in layers as opposed to all at once…go figure. It’s something to work on anyway, which is always good.
Maybe instead of coloring on paper, I’ll paint on card-stock and use that as the interior to the house…
